Have a question about Prairie Brewfest? We can help! See below, or contact the Eden Prairie Community Foundation’s executive director, Mark Weber, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (952) 949-8499.
What is Prairie Brewfest?
Prairie Brewfest is a fun, community-building, craft-beer sampling event that raises funds for the nonprofit Eden Prairie Community Foundation and its programs. It’s held outdoors each September, typically the Saturday after Labor Day. The 2017 event is at Purgatory Creek Park, 13001 Technology Drive in Eden Prairie.
How much does admission to Prairie Brewfest cost?
For 2017, tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. About $15 of that is tax-deductible. A ticket gives you access to 15-20 different craft-beer and cider brewers, each of which will serve several varieties. Wine and bottled water will also be served. Plus, there’s live music and games. In addition, you can purchase food at several food trucks serving Prairie Brewfest.
Who can come to Prairie Brewfest?
Only persons 21 years or older with a valid ID can enter the Prairie Brewfest grounds. Please, no children.
How long does Prairie Brewfest last?
Brewfest starts at 3 p.m. and lasts until 6 p.m. Brewery representatives are not allowed to pour after 6 p.m. Please be prepared to leave Brewfest promptly at 6 p.m.
What should I bring to Prairie Brewfest?
Bring an open mind and an interest in learning about the wide world of craft beer. Please come well hydrated, and take advantage of the bottled-water station manned by Kowalski’s Eden Prairie Market. Water will cleanse your palette, and you’ll enjoy the beer varieties that much better. Don’t rush through samples; take time to enjoy the aroma and flavor. Drinking on an empty stomach is never a good idea, so have something to eat when you get to the expo. No outside drinks or food may be brought to Brewfest, but food will be sold from food trucks, and free bags of pretzels will be scattered about on tables.
What are the parking options at Prairie Brewfest?
Parking spots immediately adjacent to the pavilion at Purgatory Creek Park are reserved for vendors and sponsors, but there is plenty of free parking in the Flagship Office Building parking lot on the park’s south side, as well as in the SouthWest Station parking ramp across the street.
Do you have a Designated-Driver admission price?
No, everyone pays the same admission price, but designated drivers are welcome and there is free water and soda available. Remember, Prairie Brewfest is a fundraiser for the Community Foundation, and proceeds support the Foundations work to make Eden Prairie better. Also keep in mind that $15 of each ticket price is tax-deductible.
Is there medical or security staff available at Prairie Brewfest?
Yes, Prairie Brewfest will be staffed by an Eden Prairie police officer with medical training.
What happens if it rains?
Prairie Brewfest is a rain-or-shine event. If rain is in the forecast, the event will be moved to the ground floor of the SouthWest Station parking ramp across Technology Drive, where you’ll stay dry and still be able to sample beer, listen to music, and buy food.
