THE 2017 PRAIRIE BREWFEST EVENT IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

A beautiful September day greeted 2016 Prairie Brewfest attendees.

The fourth annual Prairie Brewfest craft-beer festival will be held 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Purgatory Creek Park in Eden Prairie.

You will enjoy samples of craft beer, cider, and wine while listening to live music from Dave Lindahl and Wondercure, our “house band.” We’ll also have food and games at the event, which is a fundraiser for the Eden Prairie Community Foundation’s work to fill unmet needs in EP.

This event is for those ages 21 and older. Last year we had 503 ticket holders in a wide range of ages — and even a few dogs!

So, a big thank-you to attendees, sponsors, brewers, and volunteers. You put the “fun” in fundraising!

A number of craft brewers have already committed to participate in 2017 Prairie Brewfest, including several that are new to the event: 612 Brew, Insight Brewing, OMNI Brewing Co., and Unmapped Brewery.

Tickets will go on sale soon. If you have a business that would like to be a Prairie Brewfest sponsor, or you would like to volunteer to organize the event, please contact Mark Weber, the Foundation’s executive director, at mweber@epcommunityfoundation.org or (952) 949-8499.

Proceeds from Prairie Brewfest help support the Community Foundation’s operation and programs, including annual grants to organizations that serve people who live and work in Eden Prairie.
